Africa: Big Chance Big Change

As part of the Triennale di Milano in 2014, Mariam Issoufou presented her thesis work, Mobile Loitering. Her work titled Co-opt and Assimilate: A women-sensitive public space infrastructure for the African Muslim Sahel formed part of the AFRICA Big Chance Big Change exhibition. The exhibition, curated by Benno Albrecht, explored and reflected on the urban and architectural transformation and the big changes facing the African continent, ranging from great demographic to climate and social changes. The exhibition, pictured above, was divided into five sections that presented research on the most outstanding cases: Lagos, Maputo, Nairobi, Cairo, Niger etc.
