Philosophy

Our work is built on a foundation of extensive research that uncovers ways to go beyond the client’s brief and amplify the impact of a project.

Design Philosophy

Our approach to architecture is through a research-led lens that aims to discover innovative ways of maintaining an intimate dialogue between architecture, people, and context. Our work cuts across three main pillars:

Intersectional Sustainability: Our intersectional approach goes beyond meeting green standards. Intersectional sustainability is as much about the environmental as it is about sustaining people, their cultures and livelihoods.

New Urban Typologies: The firm tackles growth and urbanism with density solutions that respond to people, place and cultural heritage. We introduce new urban typologies across geography and economic means of our clients. Our projects range from social housing in Niger to luxury housing developments in Sharjah.

Social Impact: The social impact of our projects on their immediate environment and the end-users is important to us. We’re interested in the whole life cycle of our buildings. Mariam Issoufou was awarded the Impact in Design Award at the 2023 Architizer A+ Awards, which celebrates architects whose work forms a catalyst for positive change and combats local and global crises.
